Galfer was founded in 1952 and for over 60 years, has supplied original equipment and aftermarket friction materials to the automotive and motorcycle industries. All Galfer products (discs, pads and brake lines) are designed and manufactured in their purpose built factory at Granollers, Barcelona, next to the Circuit de Catalunya. A USA based subsidiary supplements European distribution.
In addition to the in-house testing laboratories the R&D department works extensively in top-level competition and close collaboration with the top teams helps product development. This has provided World titles in MotoGP, SBK, Motocross, Supercross, Enduro, Trials and Supermoto etc.
Developing new technologies, cutting-edge materials and advanced management systems has enabled Galfer to stay at the forefront of the market, delivering the very best final products, with improved brake power, reduced wear, and less noise, preferred by major original equipment manufacturers (OEM).
All aftermarket products are TUV approved and made to the same OEM standards and Galfer as a company have obtained ISO 9001 and the very latest ISO/TS 16949 certification in addition to quality control systems exceeding ECE R-90 standards.
