We are the new UK distributor for Ikon Suspension

We are pleased to announce that we have become the official UK distributor for the full range of IKON suspension products.

IKON specialise in rear suspension units for twin shock machines, both modern and classic. Designed to bridge the gap between cheap replacement shock absorbers and expensive race units, IKON produce suspension units using high quality materials and proven technology, individually dyno-tested and checked before leaving the factory in Australia.

We can now also offer a repair / rebuilding service for new and existing customers, extending the life of high mileage units.

The most popular model in the range is the 7610 series, which features adjustable rebound damping without the need for tools, so it is quick and easy for the rider to choose the appropriate setting, and progressive rate spring technology. This provides a consistently comfortable ride on a variety of road surfaces and is also responsive to different loads (e.g. solo rider, pillion or luggage).

Topping the range, the 7614 Series Shock Absorbers feature 4-position rebound that is externally adjustable with just a finger touch. Its progressive spring has screw thread seat adjustment and the light-weight aluminium body is gas pressurised.

For budget conscious riders, the IKON Basix range of shocks feature a spring seat adjustable in three positions, they are rebuildable and can be re-valved. Retail prices start from as low as £210 for a pair.

To compliment the shock units IKON also offer progressive rate fork springs to provide any bike with upgraded and reliable suspension.

Ikon have considerable experience, gained from many years of specialising in suspension.

The Ikon story dates back to 1967 where the Koni suspension company launched a range of motorcycle shocks with internal adjustability and linear springs. Into the 70’s gas assisted technology and progressively rated springs were added to the line-up. Then in the 80’s in addition to their popular “dial-a-ride” shocks, new mono shocks were added to the range in response to the shift in motorcycle design.

2001 saw the dawn of Ikon suspension as an independent company specialising in motorcycle suspension. After negotiation with Koni, who were ceasing production of their motorcycle products and based on their technical legacy, 2001 saw the first Ikon shocks off the production line with the revamped 7610 series. Later on, aluminium bodied shocks were developed and a range of progressive fork spring kits were added to the product line-up. Ikon continued to expand with the introduction of mono tube twin shocks and the 76 Basix series, all while maintaining a personal approach.

Over 50 years on and Ikon remains committed to helping riders of all backgrounds offering modern technology for older applications whilst also developing suspension solutions for new and current models, embracing their company mottos of  “Bike On with Ikon” and “Because Your Ride Matters”.
